Low mana usage, low damage, fast projectile speed, medium accuracy. Secondary fire sends 4 red shards at once as a pack, with small reload afterwards. Moderate mana usage, medium damage, fast projectile speed, low accuracy.

- Makes short work of most enemies, especially the secondary fire, but it drains mana quickly.
- The ricochet effect is not that helpful, but the staff is still worth keeping around if you find it early on.
- Compared to Eye of Twillight it gives more shots for mana and the accuracy is higher, but the damage per second is lower, especially the secondary mode. Thus it will be more economical against weak and normal enemies, and more fit for medium distances, but less suitable against bosses.
